Highlights of the Tour

Tour Plan

Arriving in Vientiane you are met and transferred to your hotel,  followed  by  visit  to  Pha  That  Luang  Laos’  most important site, symbolic of the Buddhist religion. Then visit the exquisite Wat Sisaket, Vientiane’s oldest temple built in 1818, and the grand Patuxai Monument

Drive to Vang Vieng and visit the amazing Tham Chang or frozen cave located on the banks of the Nam Song River. The cave’s entrance provides us with stunning views of the Nam Song River, spectacular mountain formations and the picturesque town of Vang Vieng

Returning to Vientiane fly to Luang Prabang in the afternoon. Then climb to the top of Mount Phou Si for superb sunset views over the town and the Mekong river

Travelling by Tuk-Tuk explore this fabled city to visit some of its most exquisite temples, including serene Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai. If you want you can chat with a monk to learn about the intriguing Buddhist faith and witness a local dance performance at the former Royal Residence. Also on a visit to the Kuang Si Falls, pass a Hmong hill tribe village and stop at a wildlife sanctuary

Journey by boat to Kamu Lodge, stop on the way visit the Pak Ou Caves that house hundreds of Buddha statues. Kamu Lodge is an eco-adventure designed to give you an insight into one of Laos’ ethnic minorities. Here take part in some typical activities including rice planting, gold panning or net- cast fishing

This morning you may wish to take part in further Kamu Lodge activities or just relax in the peaceful setting. Later set out on a boat along the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang. Check into your hotel and spend the late afternoon shopping, soaking up the ambiance of this amazing town or a sunset drink on the river bank

You drive to the Laos Spirit Resort, tour its sanctuary and trek with an elephant through an amazing landscape. Returning to Luang Prabang visit the Royal Palace Museum, full of Lao fine art and furniture belonging to the former residence of the now deposed royal family

Free at leisure until transferring to the airport for ongoing flight
