On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After a welcome drink and tour briefing, enjoy a performance of Viet Nam’s unique traditional Water Puppetry.

Tour President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature followed by the Museum of Ethnology and Hoa Lo Prison Museum. After enjoying the tranquility of Hoan Kiem Lake, there is free time to explore Ha Noi’s Old Quarter.

Drive to the 10th century capital of Hoa Lu and visit two temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and his successor Le Dai Hanh, followed by a trip by rowing boat past the stunning limestone karsts and grottoes of Tam Coc before travelling on to Ha Long.

Driving to the port, board your boat and cruise amongst the limestone islets and explore the many caves before heading back to Ha Noi, stopping at Dong Trieu ceramic village to see its century’s old traditional ceramic craftsmanship.

This morning journey west to Hoa Binh to visit the hill tribe villages of the Muong and Dao minority groups. Here you will gain insight into a different way of life while savouring the warm and generous hospitality of your hosts. Return to Ha Noi and you are free until boarding your overnight train to Hue.

Arriving Hue in the morning enjoy a short rest before strolling the paths of the Imperial Citadel. Later visit the ornate tomb of King Khai Dinh, followed by a boat ride on the Perfume River to serene Thien Mu Pagoda and the majestic tomb of King Ming Mang.

A drive along Highway 1 takes you over the Hai Van Pass and into Da Nang where you stop at the famous Cham Museum, and on the way to Hoi An at Marble Mountains which offer a panoramic view over the South China Sea. You arrive in the old Merchant Town of Hoi An shortly afterwards.

Departing Hoi An, drive to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Nha Trang where you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax on Viet Nam’s most famous sandy beach.

Today visit the 9th Century Po Nagar Tower and tour the Oceanographic Institute’s extensive collection of aquatic flora and fauna. Then cruise the islands dotted turquoise waters of Nha Trang Bay and along the way enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch at Mieu Island before heading back to the mainland.

There is time to relax on the beachfront and enjoy a last swim, advantage of a massage or manicure before transferring to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Explore the city’s historic landmarks including Notre Dame Cathedral, the former US Embassy and experience the excitement of the busy market in Cho Lon, Ho Chi Minh City’s Chinatown. In the afternoon you will explore the phenomenal underground tunnel network at Cu Chi.

Today head to My Tho, and board a boat to cross the Mekong River and navigate the numerous leafy island waterways to arrive at a fruit orchard where you will have a chance to sample tropical fruit and learn about the Delta way of life from your friendly local hosts, before returning to Ho Chi Minh City

Free at leisure until transferring to Ho Chi Minh City Airport for your ongoing flight.
